Maranatha Missions in Mexico focuses in three distinct areas: ministering to the indigenous Cora people of the Mexican state of Nayarit; operating a non-denominational Christian campground in Southern Baja; and helping Mexican churches grow and flourish. High in the remote Sierra Madre Mountains in the Mexican state of Nayarit are the villages of the Cora. In 1962 Cecil and Faye Byers were the first to land their Cessna airplane on the high mountain meadow of Santa Teresa.
